It was clear to us as we walked along and experienced "the path" that you had both given us solid, helpful advice and direction. We thoroughly enjoyed the distinct personalities of the B&B's! Having breakfast ready each morning was absolutely wonderful! As you all took care of the luggage as well our trip was (of course) greatly facilitated. The only way to go. As for Fife, the land, sea, people, villages and weather all put on their best. We were thoroughly spoiled. We loved it. Thank you very much for everything. You'll be glad to hear the travel lodge dropped the early baggage charge on our arrival, once we explained we were a charity group. All the party completed the walk, blisters & all & we managed to collect £103 in our charity tin along the way. Rosemary Cameron DATE OF WALK 3/5/2010 Hi Wilma, Apologies for the delay in responding. I was very busy at work last week, playing catch-up after my holiday. The accommodation was fine (although we did have a small issue on the last night - but I'll come back to that in a minute). It was, however, all clean and comfortable - which was exactly what we wanted. The only issue with the place in Tayport was that only one of the rooms was ensuite (which was something that we particularly wanted) and the other room had a separate bathroom, down the hall from the bedroom. I must say that the owners were friendly and laid on some delicious home-baking for our arrival, but the fact that one of our two rooms wasn't ensuite was a bit disappointing. That said, it certainly didn't spoil the holiday and I would reiterate that the owners were very welcoming indeed. The walk itself was good and we ended up raising a substantial sum of money for Down's Syndrome Scotland, with which we're very pleased. Kind Regards, Robert. Date of walk 5/5/08 Walking Fife Coastal Path (Wilma and Mike) organised me a great holiday with only a few days notice. I'd never been to Fife before, never walked a long distance path before, and wasn't used to going on holiday on my own so it was invaluable to have Mike and Wilma's local knowledge to get it all together for me they discussed distances, terrain, what I'd like to see, what sort of accommodation I'd like and came back with a couple of plans and a quote by the next morning. The hotel and guest house they picked for me were of a very good standard, friendly and welcoming and never more than a few metres from the Coastal Path. You are also invited to ring them at any time if you get into difficulties or just want to ask them something which contributes to the feeling of complete relaxation the path gives you, I changed my mind about where to go on the last day but one quick call and it was sorted. The path itself is very beautiful and very varied - It is mostly flat and well maintained which makes it a good one for people who haven't walked much or who don't want to be any where too remote or challenging. Holidays DATE OF WALK 15/5/08 My friend and i have used various baggage transport companies for long distance walks we have completed around the UK and fcp holidays ranked among the best. On the two occasions when there were minor changes to our agreed schedule these were accommodated cheerfully and efficiently and on one occasion when our luggage was delivered to the wrong hotel this was corrected promptly.
